Is anyone having the same problem ? packetnews.com freezes up when you log into the page with AOL and internet explorer. Problem started yesterday 4/17 . Please respond

yeah the same thing happens to me! i think it may be due to a trojan.BHOX Im gonna try to remove it with a AGV virus scan that may do the job. and delete your cookies restart and see what happends .. I am getting a 0.0.0.0 for the ip address Good Luck

Thanks. I checked with a buddy of mine and his freezes up also so its obviously a glitch on their end. I dont know if those troubleshooting steps will help but i will try . Keep me updated

Maybe not the response you wished for, but the most basic recommendation: Get ar real file sharing client.
mIRC is not suchlike. mIRC is in fact a superb chat client.

...I'll never understand why folks prefer to copy-paste metadata from their browser to a dedicated chat client that is just capable of file transfer - as a secondary feature - while there's a lot of programs designed specifically for easy sharing (e.g. p2p-clients with clever protocols, embedded DHT-based search, comprehensive settings, ...) confused
In analogy to this: some dedicated file sharing apps feature some simple kind of embedded IRC client - but you'll hardly install these apps for chat as your primary purpose.
