When you have topics with a lot of control codes (ctrl k + bold)and you try to edit them, then the cursor is not on the position you see it. It's always an adventure for me to edit them.

For example:
www.12marked_out.com | Game: 9 Online | 3Play: 7www.marked_out.eu | Forum: www.marked_out.com/forum | language:4 english 4 | RULES: http://marked_out.com/pages/help-coc

It began around 8 mIRC versions before but I don't find any reason why.

I assume you're referring to editing topics in the Channel Central dialog.

What OS are you trying this on? Also, could you elaborate on what you mean by "not in the right position"? I'm able to edit topics with control codes just fine.

I remember in Firefox 2, the editboxes would mess up in the way you're describing if I pasted text with chr 3 or 2 in them, never had this problem in mIRC.

When I try to delete a char by backspace then the char deleted is not the one the cursor is sitting behind. It's somewhere to the left. And the difference of position is greater the more the cursor is on the right.

I use XP Home Edition. With Vista Ultimate I don't seem to have that problem.
