OP Pivo Babel fish P Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 58	As far as I understood /vol, you are only able to change the volume of the whole system with it. Is there any way to change the volume of sounds played by mIRC only? If not, I'd like to request such a command / new parameter...

Collective Hoopy frood C Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,138 London, UK	The above two are both mistaken. mIRC can control the volume of any sound it plays via MCI, which includes /splay. Vista also allows for per-application volume settings in its new sound stack.

The -v "master" switch does not affect the entire system as described, and there are issues with muting. In fact, /vol under Vista will do exactly what the OP wants here-- change the volume for mIRC only. I guess the solution here is to upgrade to vista - argv[0] on EFnet #mIRC - "Life is a pointer to an integer without a cast"
