I think it would be cool if mIRC supported a status bar at the bottom to show information about the active session.
As an added bonus it would be great if it was customisable with a /statusbar command similar to the way /toolbar works, so we can add our own information, icons, right click menus to cells, etc.

Just what kind of information about the active session did you have in mind?

Nickname, number of channels, user modes, server connected to, IP address, etc. It can be useful to have that information right on the screen.

They were only examples - if you look at the original post I suggested customisable cells.

I wish for it, true the DCX statusbar is sufficient, but still. A built-in one would be way much nicer.

If he is it's probably not at the top of his todo list, but would be nice for a future version

One way to find out Khaled, are you willing to add the statusbar or not?

Khaled never makes commitments on the forums for new features. Please just be patient and if it gets added then great, and if it doesn't it may just be scheduled for later down the road. Until then, you can use an existing dll or make your own for the task.
