Forums mIRC Help Windows Vista Web Filter

I'm trying to enable the Windows Vista Web Filter with the logging options, but I'm not able to connect to an irc server with them turned on. I've added the irc server that I'm trying to connect with to the list of allowed websites, but I'm still getting a general error.

Edit: "Unable to connect to server (Unknown Error)"
It connects just fine when the Web Filter is turned off. It works fine when logging is turned on, so it must be the Web Filter.

So, any suggestions for setting this up? mIRC doesn't seem to request permission from Windows Defender to allow itself to run, like some programs do, maybe that's the problem? I'd rather use mIRC than mibbit, but I can tell Vista to allow *.mibbit.com/*
