why is this? i tried unistalling and reinstalling several times.. Ive tried 3 differnt versions of mirc but nothing works for ANY channel.. Its driving me crazy

it means the server is refusing your connection. try another server on that network. it should work its just that server is refusing connections.

DNS POOL isn't an error. It's just a way to show that it's trying multiple addresses from a pool of addresses for that network.

As to why you can't connect, it can be any number of reasons from blocked ports to bad settings. Check the Unable to Connect sticky to see a lot of possible ways to get connected.

nothing seems to be working, i cant connect to any servers.

the (dns pool) sometimes means that your antivirus/firewall is set to block irc communication - i know mcafee enterprise does that as default, and newer versions of norton antivirus

OR try another network. Using round robin hostnames is great until a dns server between you and the network dies. Check out some other servers and try direct connections
