whenever i minimize mirc and someone types in a channel or i get a query the tab starts blinking and say "mIRC [message waiting] ... how can i turn this off?
Turn off flashing in Alt-O > IRC > Options > Flash on Message. If you're hearing some sound or speech about the message, either turn off sounds for that event (Alt-O > Sounds), or turn off the Agent in Alt-O > Sounds > Agents.
