Forums General Discussion Right click isnt working in the chat section

I installed mirc on my new comp and for some reason i cannot right click in the chat area of mirc. I can right click on the channels tab and the stuff above it. When i right click someones name, it snaps to them on the right menu, but no menu pops up for the whois and all that.

Any ideas? Thanks

If you don't have a menu for your nick list, check Alt-R > Alt-P > Alt-V > Select "Nick List"...

If it's blank, then that's the reason. You'll need to get a new copy of popups.ini and/or reinstall mIRC to get that code back.

I did i reinstall and it worked fine. Think i forget to check the scripting box. Thanks for the help

I am having the same problem. My right click simply will not bring up the drop-down menu on the nicks list to give options such as whois and ctcp, etc. I have tried re-downloading the program 3-4 times now and have un-installed it, etc. Didn't backup existing files, etc. and yet I cannot seem to get it to work.

Any ideas? I'm ready to pull my hair out!
