Forums mIRC Help $mircdir == \Application Data\ != mirc.exe cliked

Recently i have installed the last version off mIRC, but i have noted that the mirc is running under a "temporary" folder, that mirc creates in ...\Application Data\mIRC\.

Is is possible to take this out ??

That's not temporary, that's where all programs should store data if they're working on a multi-user operating system.

If you'd rather mIRC store settings in the ...\Program Files\mIRC\ directory, just copy your mirc.ini into that folder.

But i want that mIRC works in c:\mirc\ only... is that possible ?

The second line of hixxy's reply answer's your question. Put the mirc.ini file in c:\mirc

If mIRC finds mirc.ini in the same directory as mirc.exe it will use that directory. If you're running C:\mirc\mirc.exe and there is a mirc.ini in the same folder then that dir will be used.

ahh thanks. i haven´t undestund what he have undestund that i had to put the mirc.exe in the temporary folder to run has i want.

but know i have done it an it´s running ok.
