Its like things happen in bursts.
Also, when I say something, or in general, when I send something to server, it seems to 'trigger' the burst immediately.

The result is then that, everytime I say something, my line quickly scrolls away.

And I have alot connection losses:

do you happen to use a BNC (I see some other users in the debug who are)?

Yes, to produce the example debug log I didn't send something to server, to find out if there was some pattern in the period between the burst.
I do not use a BNC and this only happened for SwiftIRC.
I just reconnected to that same server to see, and this phenomenon seems to be gone at the moment.
It lasted about 3 days I think

Apart from that, it looks like some server overload... making the replies "burst" due to lag. That would also explain the ping timeouts in the logs (pingout of you and others).
