For some reason my version reply is broken in 6.3. ;o

Code:
ctcp ^*:*:{
  if ($1 == VERSION) { .ctcpreply $nick $1 $colorstring(wScript v1.0,14,11) }
}

At first it was working, but now it isn't. ;o

Quote:

[21:36:11] [Jigsy VERSION reply]: wScript v1.0

Not a bug, if you stop trying to flood yourself and wait a second, the reply returns normally smile

Looks more like some independent flood control

I can only reproduce the exact opposite effect: If you receive too many CTCP VERSION requests in a short span of time the default reply will stop happening but the event continues to trigger (therefore allowing any custom replies to continue).

Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

What's your colorstring alias?
My tests confirm what starbucks_mafia stated... it's always returning the scripted reply to me
tested with
Code:
ctcp ^*:*:{
  if ($1 == VERSION) { .ctcpreply $nick $1 test }
}
and protection for ctcp replies enabled

Check that you have no other ctcp events above that one in the same file, and type /ctcps on
