Compact mode makes mIRC behave like a messenger with the treebar filling the main window, all windows opening on the desktop, and so on. hixxy Hoopy frood H Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 2,881	They don't open until you click the treebar/switchbar branch/button. Opening all windows on the desktop straight away would be undesirable due to the space taken up.
