Just recently installed Windows Vista with my new computer and am running into a problem trying to connect to servers.
Everything in the install went smooth and everything works fine if i open up Mirc manually. But when i view Packetnews.com or anything and i click on the server name which on my last computer would open up mirc automatically, it doesn't. What usually happens is i click on the server name on packet news, mirc opens up and connects to the server.

Now with Windows Vista i get these 2 msgs.

1.)Windows cannot find 'irc.//irc(server name). Make sure you typed in the name correctly and try again...

2.) Internext Explorer cannot open this helper application for irc.//irc(server name)
The protocol specified in this address is not valid. Make sure the address is correct, and try again.

Does anyone know what is going on and what i can do to resolve this issue? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank-you.

Both of these have been reported. Search the Bug Reports section for the term Vista and expand the date range to include the past year.
