1) Both of my connections got disconnected when I tried that.

And 2) what does this have to do with mIRC?

Sounds like either a bug in that ircd, or wOOp has an E-line (Gline exception) and either doesn't know it or does know and is trying to fool people into getting themselves banned.

This is not a mIRC issue, and as much as I hate airing dirty laundry...

wOOp is a trouble maker and in essence and current form not welcome on the AustNet network. He has turned this issue from a simple bug report (which we were most grateful to receive) into a continued agenda of abuse and blackmail. This posting was purely to spite AustNet administration and wOOp is clearly aware it is not a mIRC issue (even though his technical understanding of the underlying issue is exactly zero).

The bug in question has been fixed and will be applied to all AustNet servers shortly. Please do not stoop to or feed the immaturity of others by attempting to exploit it.
