In the subdir \mIRC\media\sfx\ I have 4 .wav files.
-> mIRC options -> Sounds -> I assign the 4 wav files to 6 events.
-> OK -> mIRC options -> the assignments have not been saved.

Next example:
Close mIRC -> I edit the mirc.ini:
Code:
[waves]
connect=media\sfx\connect.wav
query=media\sfx\query.wav
notice=Event Beep
invite=Event Beep
disconnect=Event Beep
send=media\sfx\dccsend.wav
highlight=Event Beep
flash=No Sound
dccfail=Event Beep
kick=Event Beep
chat=media\sfx\query.wav

I open mIRC and have a look in the options dialog. The settings are not in the optons dialog.

Sometimes mIRC saves some of the settings.

I can't seem to reproduce this issue, changing any of the settings in the sounds dialog works correctly for me here. Which version of mIRC are you using? If you test this in a clean empty folder with a new install of mIRC, does it work?

I was using mirc 6.21
Blank and with scripts. Both of them did not save the files.

Now I tested this in a clean empty folder with a new install of mIRC and it works.

With my script it still does not save/load the files to/from the mirc.ini correctly.

I'll will answer again later, when I know more.

Edit: now it even works with my scripts. That's strange.
