It would be more convenient to just download the file over DCC. Overall, some limits are bad, others aren't. People can take responsibility themselves, what they do is their buisness, not yours.
Although we don't help with filesharing here because of the issue with pirating, I don't think too many would support a file size limit. It would end up making a large percentage of users (including ones who aren't pirating anything) either stop using mIRC or never upgrade. I can't support any such limitation.
