For some reason, more recently (quite possibly since I've upgraded to the latest version of mIRC) I can't seem to splay wav files.

Has anyone experienced a problem like this before?

Thanks.

what error message, if any, do you get?

Per the versions.txt file, if you have sounds turned off in mIRC settings, all sounds (including /splay and /beep) are turned off. Previously, /splay and /beep weren't affected by that setting.

[EDIT] Hey, that's cool! Just typing versions . txt (no spaces) automatically changes it into a link to the file. That's really cool. I wonder what other links are automatic like that.

I think there was a thread regarding automatic links. It's a recent post (since the new forum).

Very cool, thanks, dunno why I didn't check the versions.txt first.

I have been living in silents for too long, glad to discover I can turn sounds back on and its not something else!
