hi

im using mirc since years now and i was never able to get the pc speaker running with mirc.

i've enabled everything in options. every event was set to event beep,in the tab "beep on" all 3 options are turned on and of course "use pc speaker" is also enabled.

my pc speaker works within other programs like ctrl+g in cmd.exe and motherboard monitor for example. so i dont know why mirc doesnt.

anybody can help me to enable it in mirc ?

btw.: mobo is asus p4p800 deluxe

mIRC's /beep command will not use the PC Speaker. There is a fairly recent thread that you can find on it if you search for Speaker.

As pointed on in the other thread that I was referring to, mIRC uses Windows to handle the beep call. Windows, for one reason or another, uses your sound card instead of the PC Speaker. I didn't pay much more attention to that thread than to see that. If you want more details, I'd suggest looking it up.
