Forums Connection Issues trying to give help

Hi one of my friends are trying to use mirc for the first time
ive got him all the basic steps but when he trys to connect it says this :

can someone tell me how i can help him resolve this?

looks like he's trying to connect to a server which requires some kind of authorisation before you are allowed to connect, like a password or something else.

try letting him connect to a different server instead.
