Hi everyone my name is FutureTrunks and im having abit of problem with my connection to mirc everything else works fine just mirc doesnt. Right ill start off by saying i have speedtouch 330 modem 2meg adsl and winxp home
it seems like everytime i dcc send or try to open a trigger it doesnt want to work i have recently joined a new isp called Ukonline but i have checked with them about the ports blocked but it seems they are not so could someone help me with this problem as its very very anoyying i never use to have problems like this now i get software abort the 20 seconds after i open or send a file to anyone
plllllllllsssssssssss someone help

If you have a router or a firewall, try adjusting settings. http://www.portforward.com/ is useful.

This is almost certainly Ukonline's doing. I first noticed this in October (dcc and most priv msgs basically rendered useless) and have exactly the same issues with irssi on cygwin and on two separate Linux machines. The support staff are useless droids and there seems to be no way of telling whether or not this is intentional blocking.
Would suggest waiting for the new OFCOM migration rules to kick in on Feb 14th and switching to a different provider (Plusnet, Zen, etc).
