EDIT: change topic from 2.* to 6.2*

i have upp, and its auto connect dialog box uses mdx, mainly in the listbox, well, after upgradeing to 2.0, i had a bug once where mirc didn't take any mouse or key input. but it never happened again, so i left it unreported. after upgradeing to mirc 2.1 i opened the auto connect box in upp. mirc locked up not takeing any key input, (odd part is popups sill opened, but didn't do anything when u clicked on anything, even the tray popup) takeing almost little mouse input, i can right click on the tray, i hit exit, and nothing happens, i opened task man, then clicked back on mirc, then i saw bits and peaces of the connect dialog.

i just opened my old mirc_upp.exe that came with upp, the one with 6.16, and everything worked.

i'll post later today after school after playing with mdx on 21 to see what is causing it (i think its the listbox control, cuz that and the buttons were the only thing i chould see when i saw bits of the dialog box)

Usually, when a script breaks after upgrading mIRC, it is because the script has errors in it. We had that issue with a few parts of Invision, though we got those fixed right away. I don't know how well UPP works at getting fixes released.

a few other pieces of info: mirc uses all the cpu, even tho there is no while loop running (or goto loop for that matter) (i made a few aliases to test that)
and its doing it for almost anything with mdx and the list control even ones i wrote my self

its not rendering the dialog, and not letting anything else in mirc run at all, but if u click on where a edit box is suppost to be, that edit box shows up.

ok, after some more testing, it looks like not any dialog box is showing up,

im on the jap locale with applocale setting mirc back to en

i have a duel mon setup with ultra-mon

edit: ok, i just tryed closeing ultra-mon, and everything went back to normal everything works, so that is where the issue is.

Khaled: when u get a change to look at this, let me know if i should report this to ultramon dev team (and any info about how mirc does dialogs), or if you'll fix mirc's side of the issue

I don't know how Ultramon works or how it modifies Windows behaviour, so you would need to report this to the Ultramon developers.

That said, you should test this first on a clean install of mIRC, with no scripts, dlls, plugins, etc. Perhaps the issue is with one of those additions?
