Everytime I try to get something through DCC Get, I get the DCC pending message, as well as an error saying it was unable to connect. Is it a firewall issue? I've tried turning off my firewall, and nothing changes.
I'm using my college's network via ethernet cable in the dormroom, btw. So I have a stable internet connection.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

p.s. I did read ParaBrat's post, and tried everything in there.

Might be the college's firewall that's doing this. You'll have to talk to the people in the IT department regarding if their firewall is causing this or not.

Check if you have your firewall supprt set to none. Also Check if Mirc is in your exception/Allow list in your operating systems firewall.

Most likely your college isn't forwarding any ports through their router, so you won't be able to DCC send (or start a DCC chat - same thing) in the normal way. Passive DCC might work, but it might not. (And your chances of getting them to open ports for you are smaller than your chances of winning the lottery without buying a ticket.)
