I know time and time again we've seen these error messages when we disconnect, but i've had several people complain to me about the exact same thing i get so i had to post it.
We all have 'Reconnect on disconnection' checked etc, but i noticed on mIRC 6.2 it doesn't reconnect after that specific disconnect and error.
Never had the problem before, just wondered if anyone else has noticed this and think it's a bug? This has never happened before, mIRC has always reconnected no matter what. frown

Actually, i have experienced a few occasions when mirc does not reconnect when it should (in 6.17 as well). I did a little digging once or twice but since its not exactly consistant, and not really something that can be intentionally reproduced i've had little luck narrowing down why it happens.

It not very often, for me at least, i stay connected pretty much 24/7 wether im around or not, so i dont get disconnected much at all in the first place. Probably less than 5% of the time it wont try to reconnect when it should.

Yeah isn't that weird. I'd like to know exactly what software causes it too.

One thing that really grinds my gears is this:

ERROR Trying to reconnect too fast.

Mine always reconnects after this error, which is usually triggered when my wireless drops out. mIRC still tries to reconnect as many times as is set, even if there is no actual internet connection available.
