Under Vista RC1, /server -n responds with the error message "ssl not available" even though the SSL dlls are available for mIRC to use. $sslready is also false.

/server -m, however, works fine. Also strangely after the first /server -m, /server -n works normally. SSL still doesn't work when it should, though.

On a related note, the HLP format is not supported under Vista. mIRC's help will need to be converted into CHM (I find it worth noting XP's winhlp32.exe runs just FINE under Vista).

Just make sure it's not something simple first of all: you are using a 32-bit DLL for SSL right? 32-bit applications can't use 64-bit DLLs under Vista.

Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

I am using the same files I used under XP to use SSL successfully in mIRC.

My processer, OS, and all programs/DLLs are 32bit.

If mIRC is able to load the SSL DLLs under XP but is unable to load them under Vista, this most likely means that the SSL DLLs are dependent on files that are not available, or not loadable, under Vista.

A question about SSL:

For example flashfxp does work with ssl ftp connections.

You can download Windows Vista RC1 for Free, the only thing stopping me from using Windows Vista, is Mirc not working so well on it smile

When will you take a look at it?
