There are quite a few posts on this and the general UNofficial consensus is that for RIGHT NOW, 64 bit mirc is POINTLESS. Not because YOU want it, but because MOST people dont have 64bit OS's. I'm sure when 64bit OS's become more popular, Khaled will consider his options.

This is NOT a slam against you, simply stating the facts of posts on this board smile

Microsfot would have you believe that a 64bit edition is as simple to make as just starting a diffrent compiler envrionment. this obviously isnt the case all of the time, but if your useing microsfot compilers, code is saposedly easily optimized for multiple platforms, indluding PocketPC, x86, x86_64, IA64, and generaly anything that is a relitivelyrecent release of windows... again..this is a propiganda based post.

"Wrongly Attributed

"640K ought to be enough for anybody." or "No one will need more than 637 kb of memory for a personal computer."

* Two variants of the same quote, often misattributed as said by Bill Gates in 1981. Gates has repeatedly denied ever saying this, and he points out that it has never been attributed to him with a proper source. In fact, the memory limitation was due to the hardware architecture of the IBM PC. [1] [2] [3]"

Thanks for the correction of the quote smile Even still, the quote makes me laugh especially now that 64bit OS's are slowly coming into the mainstream smile

Wasn't it khaled who compiled parallel versions of mirc for 16 and 32 bit windows for years without ever having to do anything more than change a few compiler flags?

Isn't it khaled who's now using Visual C++.NET?

I'm sure it's more than simple enough to pull off. Not that I care.
