OP TigerDuck Bowl of petunias Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 2 Germany	Hi there, months ago I mentioned, that the German ä (a umlaut) got crippled in mIRC 6.18. I tested this in v6.2 now. Looks like the problem is persistent: Example input in mIRC 6.2 running on WinXP Pro: Code: > aber früher frage er einfach nur "keep settings?" > gäht das jetzt? > oder zärhäckt mIRC das ä immär noch? > gäht > komisch received by an irssi running on a gentoo box: Code: < Tigg0r> aber früher frage er einfach nur "keep settings?" < Tigg0r> g$BgI(Bt das jetzt? < Tigg0r> oder zärhäckt mIRC das ä immär noch? < Tigg0r> g$BgI(Bt < Tigg0r> komisch Font-settings in mirc 6.2 are - Arial, - Script: Western, - UTF-8: Display only Any suggestions? NineTails Ameglian cow N Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 38	What languages in what encodings are you chatting in? JIS can be found using the following regex: /\$B(.+?)\(B/g (works in most cases, is an ANSI code that is usually not displayed). Can you spot it in TigerDuck quotes?
