I have looked and looked and i can't find or remember how to disable certain characters. My example is text in a window but when using the & character mirc keeps removing it. Please can someone remind me of the character you place in front so mirc does not try to evaluate and so will show the character....

I'm not too sure what you mean, but to stop things evaluating I usually use a control code in front of the identifier if I want to quickly check something. Hit ctrl+k when the cursor is before the stuff you don't want to evaluate.

& doesn't evaluate to anything in mIRC though, unless you're using it in some of the socket commands.

Ok in a dialog i am using & but mirc keeps removing it. Its a text line in a dialog window. Hope that helps.
eg "HELLO THERE & WELCOME" shows "HELLO THERE WELCOME".
