I was wondering how to make ISO-2022-JP function on mIRC. I cannot find any guidelines or FAQs on this issue...

Just select 'Japanese' font script. May not be available in some fonts. SJIS/JIS must be turned on, too, however, it's buggy as a fabric christmas tree.

Where can I download such a font.

You can go here (choos links in the table) and here. But if you have 'Asian language support' option checked (in Regional and language Options), you should have MS Mincho, MS PMincho, MS Gothic, MS PGothic and other fonts with Japanese script installed.

But note that SJIS/JIS conversion will be applied to every other text you type, so don't try to speak other languages while in 'Japanese mode'.
