Is it possible to send the output from a !list command to a .txt file?

we would need to know what text was returned from the !list command and you should know that we wont directly help with illegal filesharing...

that said,
on *:text:*.mp3:?:{ write textfile.txt $1- }

might give what you want...

When I type !List it gets replies that almost always have a field with @identifier which is usually a list 'trigger' and typing the @identifier into the box sometimes initiates a download of a file.

I appreciate that the symbols, smilies, and colors which are everywhere in IRC are fun for others; however, I am visually impaired and they make such lines unreadable for me. That is why I want to export things to text files.

I'm sad to say that now I don't know where to put the line you gave me. Does it go in the scripts editor?

Could I ask why .mp3 is needed in this process?

ok .mp3 isnt needed but was just what was in my mind as an example....

you could turn on logging for chats and make sure that strip codes is checked. this will do what you want and strip out all the colours and stuff...

you could also go to options(alt-o)

click on IRC/Messages and put checkmarks in the boxes marked

Bold Underline Color Reverse

This should take out all the formatting from messages and leave them as plain text for you to see.
