I would like to see an option to disable the event messages in mirc options / IRC / Events

not everyone wants to see the joins, parts, modes, topics, quits, ctcps, kicks and nicks messages.

watching these messages are like watching the ping pong events in the status window and that can be disabled

I know the messages can be changed to the status window but I use the status window for other things.

I have something in the mIRC that I use, it hides everything I want it to, I will try and find the code that came with it, and, if I find it, I'll be glad to give it to you.

Thanks I could use a script like that
would it effect any other scripts sending messages to the status window?

If i am not mistaken there is a 'hide' option for all of those except ctcp's.

you could try using the hide option for those events
Options-IRC-Events, each drop down has three options, the third being Hide

Try that and see if its what you want

With the exception of CTCP's, these events can be hidden through mIRC Options.

1) Open mIRC Options
2) Select IRC
3) Click the button marked Events
4) Go through the drop down boxes for each event and select Hide
5) Click OK
6) Click OK

This works for me in mIRC 6.17

You could use that for now.
