I am using mIRC v6.17.
Is there any setting within the mirc.ini file that would cause a problem sending to others?

The problem I am having is I get a [10053] Software caused connection abort. When I reconnect. I all my sends time out.
I have to close mirc and replace the mirc.ini file with a backup copy I have.

I have eliminated all possibilities of any scripts causing the problem by only having the omenserv script loaded. When this error occures all my sends time out

Your sends are timing out because you no longer have a connection to the IRC network, due to the 10053 error (which has been reported so many times, there's a topic for just that problem). Your mIRC.ini file, however, should not be affected by this problem.

When I reconnect and rejoin the channel and the files are requested again. Thats when the sends are not timming out.

I kill all sends on a reconnect, so when I re establish my connection. I can get a faster reconnect.

The problem is not the [10053] error code. I have read all the messages pertaining to [10053] error code. But none of them mention the problem I am having with new sends timing out.

your sends might be timing out because of a script(you've seen the 'must stay in #channel' messages) the disconnection will also kill the send.

if you are having this trouble when someone is manually sending you a file, without scripting, then you have a problem. if your internet connection(not your IRC connection) is dropping the dccs will time out/fail as well, often the 10053 error goes along with a lost internet connection. my wifi drops every now and again with the same result

With Omenserve script they don't have to stay in the same channel....

The problem I am having is when I reconnect and someone request a file. All file request time out. I have to close mirc and replace the mirc.ini file for my sends to connect to others.

There is something in the mirc.ini file seems to be causing my connection of a file transfers to others to time out
