I want t know about op status, aop status, sop status, and founder status. I am a sop in 3 channels, but i cant tell the difference between that and op status. I also want to know how I can make other people sop's. Also, there are some people in some channles who have founder status, but when i join a channel with no one in it, I only get granted op, not founder.
Thanx for your help.

Founder status is only set for the person that can identify to Chanserv as the founder of the particular channel. This is usually done using the following command: /cs identify <#channel> <password>
The password must match the password that was associated with the founder's nick/address when the channel was created. In some cases the password is also case sensitive.

SOP's are Super Ops, they have more capabilities than AOP's (Auto-Ops) or OP's (channel ops). A simple example, a SOP can de-op an AOP, but an AOP can't de-op a SOP.

The differences are in the level of control that each has.
In order from highest level (most access) down the normal sequence is
IRC Admin
IRC Op
Founder
Channel Admin
SOP
AOP
OP
Half-Op
Voice
Regular (ie: anyone else)

Note: Not all of the above are supported on all networks.
It is possible for one person to have one or more of the above levels.

I hope this clarifies your query.

Channel Admin's are not supported on all networks.

For SOP's and AOP's check the chanserv options with
/cs help sop
/cs help aop

Most chanservs support these, and access is restricted to those with equal or higher levels.
