Forums Connection Issues Disconnecting

Whenever I log into mirc, to any server, any channel I get disconnected after so many seconds/minutes of inactivity. It doesn't just drop me from mirc, but my entire computer's internet shuts off and won't start up untill I restart my computer. (only computer effected on the router)

I have the exact same problem. Help please.

Yup, i have the same problem.
But it seems that it only happens when someones sending me a file via DCC...

but it just makes my internet die

(ie, no web pages work, cannot renew ip address)

i have to restart the computer to get it going again..
...and if i try to recieve a file, same thing.
chatting works fine

and yah, tried it both with router/without and with no firewall.

its almost like (and heres a bad analogy...perhaps worthy of the daily show...) the tubes are getting clogged up by the transfer on mirc...
