I did an ip2locations script and i named it ip.mrc, but when I load it from the "alt+r menu->load" mirc loads it, but it appears empty. When i tried to load with the load -rs command i had this error -> * /load: no such file 'C:\Program Files\mIRC\ip.mrc'.

I pasted the code in the empty ip.mrc loaded from the menu and saved it, and the script works, but if i reload it, it disappear (the code is still saved in the file but mirc can't see it).

So I tried to change the filename and finally it works. I tried with ip2loc.mrc and pi.mrc and they work, just ip.mrc doesn't.
There's a reason for this?

(mIRC 6.17 - win xp sp2)
Thanks, Taggnostr.

confirmed .. also won't load ip.txt (or any of several other extensions I tried).

Possibly ip is one of the "names" that windows won't allow you to use?

Khaled: That is correct, some filenames may be classified as device names by the Windows system you are using. If so, mIRC checks that and prevents you from writing to those device names to prevent system errors, freezes, etc.

Now we have the reason grin
