Anyone know how I could send a message from an outside program or source (like a windows .bat file) to my IRC and have a script act upon it?

Is it a .bat file? or is that just an example? because it's possible to do that for some type of sources

It would be best if I could do it from a bat file, as that's my current need. But from both bat and exe would be best.

Hi, I've written a utility called sigmirc that can do just that (link goes to zipfile, source included). Maybe you can use it in your situation as well.
