You connect it to the server and make it join the channel as you'd normally join a channel. Assuming it's a mIRC client.

If it's a mIRC bot then I'm afraid it will disconnect when you disconnect. You'd need eggdrop and a shell.

The forum is to help you with concrete issues... not to chew everything out for you.

Anyway, a shell is an account on someone elses server. This would be online 24/7. You can get a account on it, by paying for it. Try searching the Internet for Shell account, or Eggdrop bot hosting.

The eggdrop is a channel bot programmed in TCL I think.
Dont know where you can get these, but try searching the Internet again for Eggdrop bot download.

You get the idea.

Since you obviously know nothing about eggdrop bots, try reading about them at http://www.egghelp.org/ and/or asking questions on http://forum.egghelp.org/ (their forums).
Understand this, shell accounts are not free (even though some claim to be) and installing and scripting an eggdrop bot is not a simple task. You might be better off finding one of the bot lending channels and see what their requirements are.
Ask about that possibility in one of the many eggdrop help channels on the different networks.
