Forums mIRC Help importing notify list

Is there any way to import the notify list in mirc? I've tried adding it to the mirc.ini, but it never works. I hate to re-add all the nicks in my notify each time I upgrade. I like how we can copy the addrbk.ini and paste it in the new mirc folders, wish we could do the same for the notify list.

you will have to copy the notify info to the ini file when mIRC is off else it will save it's local copy over your changes when it closes.

any mods on ini files mIRC uses should be done without mIRC running

and why don't you use the 'keep settings' option in the installer? that way you don't have to copy them at all

thanks Doqnach, I'll try that when mirc isn't running. Dunno why I never thought of that myself.

I didn't have the option of the "keep settings" as I was installing an Op script that had mirc already in it.
