Hello all

When someone does a whois on me they see all the channels i'm in. How can i prevent this?

i'v seen it with others, when i did a whois on them, no channelname was given..

But i dunno how they've done that..

help appriciated

then they are not on a any channels :tongue:

although osem channel might have the secret flag

Channels you share in common are never hidden... Don't think I need to explain why... wink

Make sure your nick mode has "+i" with "/mode YourNick +i"... Doing this should hide your channels from others, although it's up to the server to do this or not.

Actually the channel would have to be set +s to be hidden
in your whois from other users who are not also on the
channel.

On Unreal severs it’s user mode +p to hide the channels you are on from people that whois you. IRCops can still see the channels you are in, and that you have +p on. ;-)
/mode yournick +p
