Add a way to specify a file's local name to DCC to someone, and be able to specify the SENDING filename ie his receiving filename.

So I have mytext.txt on my computer and I do...

/dcc send mytext.txt MyFriend yourtext.txt

...well...you get the picture grin

ok, i read that a few times and im still not sure what you are asking. You can do /dcc send nick filename. Are you saying you want to send a file by the name you have it as, but by the time he gets it, its a diff file name?

you could use a copy+rename before you dcc... when triggered from a script...

else it would take 3 commands to type ;-]

"/dcc send mytext.txt MyFriend yourtext.txt"

He means make it so the person recieving the file sees it as "yourtext.txt", instead of "mytext.txt".

It could be useful in some situations I think. smile

If you did that it would try to open it in Paint (or the system default) which doesn't recognise and run .vbs scripts, so the virus would never execute...
