I have a silly 'uberb0x' script that I use to access a variety of searches and the like. I had also been using it with firefox's inbuilt google 'feeling lucky' search by just typing keywords and letting /url -n load them in firefox.

However, I've noticed with 6.17 /url -n doesn't work with just words or characters, it seems to want the proper address format, with a http:// or www. (with just .net it doesn't work either)

Is there a simple way to load a url that doesn't appear to be a url?

I asked Khaled about this, it seems to be a Firefox issue (I have a few popups that use /url -n, and they didn't have the http:// prefix, so I've had to change them all). Ff isn't prefixing the URL correctly. If mIRC passes the URL to Ff via DDE then Ff doesn't prefix http:// as it should.

Regards,

Mentality/Chris

That surprises me because firefox hadn't had trouble for the year or two previous that I'd used it:(
