I'm not sure what other commands to add yet, but an /updateial command would be nice.

I know the follow two ideas are going to spark 'workarounds' and all sorts of negative comments ... anyway

/write -t which timestamps whats written, which saves doing /write file.txt $timestamp ...

and /writeini -uN which removes an item after N seconds which saves /timer 1 N remini ...

/write -t - why not?

/writeini -uN - I don't think this is very practical. A file could easily be moved, deleted, edited (maybe even by other applications) before it's time for the item to be unset. Besides that, files are normally used for storing permanent settings, whereas there are things like hashtables and variables for storing temporary settings.
