how to acess the download part. I heard mIRC had the fastest download (faster than azureus and bit commet) and was shocked so i was just asking

- how to enter the download part (when i open mIRC i end up in the chat area)

- and if it has a search (like limewire and kazza) or if you download off the net (like torrents and stuff)

There is a sticky thread in this very forum which says that mIRC is not a file sharing program.

usually I like to see DCC educated questions, but as Mentality our local gnome in the basement has pointed out, its not a filesharing program.

mIRC is a client for the IRC protocol.

IRC stands for "Internet Relay Chat"
mIRC stands for "Multiple Internet Relay Chat"

in other words its not a torrent client, not a file sharing client and not an FTP client.
