What scripts do you guys use? like no namescript or gamers.irc.

What do you recommend?

Most of the scripts that I use are ones that I've written myself, or with assistance from other scripters. NNScript seems to be a popular one, but I'm not familiar with it, so I can't honestly give an opinion as to how good it is or not.

I'd suggest you check the different scripting areas on a few of the other mIRC help sites. Most of them have some kind of a ranking and/or area where comments can be left.

There's a couple of links to other sites, and each of them has links to other sites as well.

I use PnP 4.22 (modified with great difficulty) and a lot of my own scripts.

I have never used full scripts for more than 5 minutes. I find them too busy, strange colors and bloated with all kinds of stuff I wouldn't even know what their use is.

So, I started with a clean mIRC and each time I needed something, I either scripted it myself so I could have it as I wanted, or I searched for snippets by others that do that specific thing and use and adapt them to my liking.

The main advantages for me are that my mIRC does mostly what I want it to do (unless I'm lazy) and I don't spam banners and quit messages in full color all over the place. Ofcourse I'm also fairly sure there are no (deliberate) exploits in my code.

Well I use my own which i'm constantly tweaking on a daily basis. It keeps me busy, but then again I often find myself changing to a plain jane version of mIRC, you cannot go wrong with that. It all comes down to what script you are more comfortable with. I hear good things about most of the popular scripts out there, but I also hear that people like using their own scripts even more.
