Forums mIRC Help Dead after first download using XP

Hi, here's a tricky one.

When I have 2 or more downloads pending, Mirc hangs itself up after the first download.
I'm using Windows XP and mirc6.14.

On the same network, with another computer running windows 2000, everything works well.

Any clue?? thanks in advance

1). mIRC is not a filesharing program, it is for chatting
2). Upgrade to the current version 6.16

Since ya said the magic word download, you probably won't get much help here, however someone may be willing to help you in private.

The only thing I will say is to check any routers/firewalls.

what do u even mean by "two downloads pending" , i would understand that as the moment of time between when a file is first sent, and your acknoledge of the file and your start of recieving it. A very small time frame indeed.

The question I wonder is, is this what you mean, and if not what did u mean? It hangs itself if a second download starts?. Also what exactly does "hangs itself mean" mirc freezes totally? doesnt get the second file? crashes? what?

Also check your virus scanner, scanning a file of the size I think it is might take a while... See also 1)
