I'd like to write an application that can Send commands to mIRC.

But how do I have to use SendMessage (or anything similar) to control mIRC?

You'll need to open file mapping to the mIRC instance.

You might want to try looking up 'file mapping' and 'sendmessage' on msdn.microsoft.com

In the old tutorial of mine there are a few examples of using SendMessage.

Nice to see your link works again ... that's usually what I provide people wanting to do mIRC DLLs but it didn't work for a bit...
