Whenever I type /localinfo it gives me a messed up DNS address and a 192.* ip (on all of the servers im connected too), but when I visit websites they work normally so I don't think my isp's dns servers are down. I have a router and thats really the only thing I can think of that might be screwing it up, but I have no clue how to fix it. Any help?

Use "/localinfo -u" and set the lookup method to "Server" in mIRC Options -> Connect -> Local Info.

I tried the /locainfo -u command, it just goes back to the way it was, and i've had that set in the mirc options.

"/localinfo -u" and the Server lookup method get the host and IP information from the server, so if it doesn't work either:
  • The server isn't doing it's job
  • The server's on your network or
  • You're using a script that's changing the local info.

I'm betting on #3, given your first post. Opening a /debug window will show you the /userhost in action.

I don't think the first one is the problem..
I don't understand what you mean by the second one, for the third one..

-> irc.<edit>.net USERHOST Phase
<- :irc.<edit>.net 302 Phase :Phase*=+Phase@pcp<snip>pcs.rthfrd01.tn.comcast.net

Then whenever I type /localinfo again, same thing as before.

edit: I also tried on a fresh install of mIRC. Same thing..

Well since just typing /localinfo will just get your info from Winsock again it's not suprising it doesn't work. Type /localinfo -u and nothing else.
