although it can be set but it would be easier if user can put Ctrl+B, Ctrl+U, Ctrl+R & Ctrl+K in timestamp (in the mirc options dialog)

there's a problem writning control codes in .ini files
of course this can be done by replacing them...

As vasil said .ini files can't store control codes. You can reset the timstamp format when mIRC opens
on *:start:.timestamp -f [04HH:nn]

Yet the remote.ini can quite happily store control codes that are stored in variables.

Quite right. I've been doing that for a while now. I think the problem lies in mIRC's ability to write the colour codes to an .ini file from it's settings dialogue rather than the .ini's ability to store it. Maybe Khaled could do a work-around for this at some stage. grin
