there's a problem writning control codes in .ini files

As vasil said .ini files can't store control codes. You can reset the timstamp format when mIRC opens

I think the problem lies in mIRC's ability to write the colour codes to an .ini file from it's settings dialogue rather than the .ini's ability to store it. Maybe Khaled could do a work-around for this at some stage.
