This suggestion is being made because many options in the mIRC options dialog can either be disabled with scripts or do not have the ability to be disabled by scripts...
Here is the situation... I have a server that requires that a nick be registered before they join a channel. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I use the "Auto-join" option in the channel folder (and $readini) to not only autojoin but also to persistantly stay joined to a channel...
What I want to be able to do is, even though "auto-join channel" is selected for the chanel, I want scripts to have the ability to disable that option on-the-fly (so errors about not being registered don't show up), and take control of the auto-join process. In addition I'm looking for a non-scripted way of accessing any of the options in the mirc.ini without writing an identifer to do that...
