when i create a timer, such as...
/timer1 0 500 /ctcp keepalive ping
...it works fine, until i get get disconnected. the timers then stop. i havent been ablet to think of a way to keep them going after being disconnected (cause my client automatically tries to reconnect). any ideas?

yea i actually have that in my 'perform on connect' section. however i notice that when i get disconnected, mIRC doesnt actually tell me im disconnect and try to reconnect until i try to type a command. then suddenly it will realize 'hey i cant do this i must be disconnected', but during that time the timers also stop so no commands are being sent, so mIRC just sits there until i manually type one. if you understand what im saying, do you know a way i might be able to make mIRC reconnect right away? its almost like a timeout except mIRC doesnt realize it until i try to send a command, but the timers stop so i have to do it manual...i hope this makes sense

The simpliest thing to do is to create an offline timer using the -o switch.

If you are not connected to a server (which the -o switch will allow), how are you going to /ctcp anyone?
